South Carolina CE Shop Real Estate Practice Exam

Representing a seller does not prevent a licensee from having other listings. A licensee can manage multiple listings for different clients, even if some of those properties compete with the seller’s property. The important point is that fiduciary duties to each client are maintained and conflicts are avoided. If a situation arises where the same licensee would represent both sides in a transaction or where competing interests could affect judgment, disclosure and, if needed, informed consent for dual agency are required. Absent those issues, listing other properties, including competing ones, is allowed.
